PETER ROSS COWAN 27th June 2009

I met Seonai towards the end of her life . I went with Linda to see her as she knew as a child whilst living in Zimbabwe all those years ago. Seonia told me how at School she was called Shona (the african language in Zim) as her name sounded similar and I believe she told them where to go. She also told me about her first Kiss which was at-I know this will sound weird for those that dont know - but was with an Army guy at Chikarubi Prison when she was - below the age of consent, She has a great sense of humour and the way she told me these little bits about her was not in a serious manner at all. She wanted to know how we were and was interested in what we did. She did tell me about her campaign for disabled persons and she had a great awareness of the discrimination that many still face today. I wish I had known her years ago as we got on like a house on fire. We enjoyed not one but two bottles wine. As Shakespeare once said "TB or not to be" that is the question Peter Ross Cowan (Harare and London)
